Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, also popularly called as Tulip Garden Srinagar Kashmir Or Siraj Bagh, is the largest tulip garden in Asia, which is spreads over an area of 29.6 acres. This sprawling garden was conceived, conceptualized and created in the year of 2006- 2007.
It is organized every year, during the onset of spring season in Kashmir valley. This festival is majorly organized by the Tourism Department along with many more activities such as handicrafts exhibitions, cultural evenings, and authentic Kashmiri food items. Tourists from all over the world choose from various Kashmir holiday packages to experience the eye catching beauty of this festival. The festival represents a perfect blend of natural and cultural heritage.
The garden is situated in Sirajbagh, Chashmashahi on the foothills of Zabarwan Mountain ranges with an overview of picturesque Dal Lake. About 20 lakh flowers with hundreds varieties of tulip adorns the sprawling land of the garden. The magnificent beauty of wide spectrum of colorful tulip flowers can easily unwind and enthralled any tourist. It fascinates large number of tourists when the perennial flower blooms in the month of March, April and May.
The floriculture department of J&K government organizes Tulip festival in late March and April every year when tulips are in full bloom. This is considered to be one of the biggest events in Srinagar. Tourists from across the globe, throng the city to witness hundreds of thousands varieties of tulip. The festival also features cultural programs on Kashmiri folk songs, exhibition cum sale of local handicrafts and traditional Kashmiri cuisines. Entry fee to the tulip garden is 50 rupees for adults and 25 rupees for children.
Arrive from Srinagar Airport, After Refresh, go For a Shikara Ride. The Dal is famous not only for its beauty but for its vibrancy, because it sustains within its periphery, a life that is unique anywhere inthe world. The houseboat and Shikara communities have lived for centuries on the Dal, and so complete is their infrastructure on the lake, that they seldom have to step on land! Doctors, tailors, and bakers - you will see them all in tiny wooden shops on the lake.
After Breakfast, drive towards Sonamarg 4 hrs at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level, 87 km northeast of Srinagar. Sonamarg which means meadow of gold is a beautiful spot full of snow-clad mountains, fast and flowing water, and vast meadows. You can also trek or hire ponies (Direct Payment) and visit Thajiwas Glacier which remains snow-clad throughout the year. Return to Srinagar and Overnight Stay at Hotel.
After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our countryside day trip towards Gulmarg. Enjoy the Gondola (Cable car) ride which is highest in Asia. It has 2 phases. The first stage transfers from the Gulmarg resort at 2,600 m (8,530 ft) to Kongdoori Station in the bowl-shaped Kongdori Valley. The second stage of the ropeway, which has 36 cabins and 18 towers, takes skiers to a height of 3,747 m (12,293 ft) on Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 m(13,780 ft)). In the evening we will drive back to Srinagar where we can take a walk along the banks of the Dal Lake or simply rest in the cosy rooms of our hotel. Dinner and Overnight in hotel.

It is the largest tulip garden in Asia spread over an area of about 30 hectares. It is situated on the foothills of the Zabarwan Range with an overview of Dal Lake. Overnight at Houseboat.
